Service Standards & Access to Work Compliance

ERS Taxi Service® provides reliable, necessary transport in line with Access to Work (AtW) funding rules.

​

While we always aim to provide a comfortable and professional service, it’s important to understand how Access to Work funding works.

​

Does Access to Work fund premium or executive vehicles?

Access to Work funding covers necessary travel only.

It does not guarantee or approve premium, executive, or luxury vehicle tiers (such as Uber Comfort or Uber Exec).

Although premium services may occasionally appear within a client’s award amount when checking prices independently, Access to Work does not approve premium tiers as a standard or guaranteed service.

Why ERS cannot guarantee premium tiers

ERS Taxi Service is a VAT-registered company and must ensure all journeys are:

​

• compliant with Access to Work guidance,

• financially viable once VAT and operating costs are applied, and

• delivered consistently across all clients.

​

For app-based providers such as Uber, vehicle availability and pricing fluctuate in real time. For this reason, ERS cannot guarantee premium or executive tiers on a contractual basis.

​

How ERS maintains service quality

Where a higher and more consistent standard of service is required, ERS may offer:

​

• vetted providers with agreed service standards, or

• ERS in-house driver services (subject to availability), using branded vehicles and drivers managed directly by ERS.

These options allow us to provide reliability, accountability, and consistent standards while remaining compliant with Access to Work requirements.

Client preferences

We always listen to client preferences and do our best to accommodate them where possible.

However, preferences cannot override:

• Access to Work funding rules,

• VAT obligations, or

• ERS’s responsibility to operate fairly and sustainably for all clients.
